BOATSHARE

We are excited to be able to offer the use of club boats to our members. The goal is to afford all members the opportunity to expand their access to sailing. Use of club boats requires we conduct ourselves according to the rules and regulations of the club, Jackson County, the State of Missouri and the US Coast Guard when on the water. A BoatShare membership has all the rights and privileges of a racing membership.

Boatshare Basic Member ~ $600
$500 if renewed/enrolled before April 1

Boatshare Keelboat Member ~ $800
$700 if renewed/enrolled before April 1

Boatshare M15 Member ~ $1,200
$1,000 if renewed/enrolled before April 1

If you would like to become a BoatShare or BoatShare+ Member, please contact us at BoatShare@jacomosailingclub.org. We'll coordinate with you to schedule a checkout sail and orientation, where you learn the gate codes and a brief on the boats.
Anyone - new, returning or just want to learn more - is welcome to join our Boatshare Orientation Events

MAKE A RESERVATION

The boat must be reserved. Reservations are first come/first serve. Skippers participating in the Sunday racing series will be given priority during those times. Once you are a BoatShare member you can reserve boats online after signing into the members only portion of this site.

Any individuals under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent or other responsible adult.

The Boatshare boats are not equipped for night sailing and must be returned to the trailer by sunset. Boatshare+ boats can be sailed at night with proper lighting, which the member must ensure is working.

Jacomo Sailing Club's insurance covers liability on the boats and we encourage family participation. Our insurance coverage does not allow any intoxicating substances on club boats, sail or power.

Damage to any property is the responsibility of the member. Please report wear and tear items and any other issues using the Red Ticket Form. Fixing boats is a great learning opportunity, and our volunteers would love for you to be involved in the process.

BoatShare works for everyone if you leave the equipment better than you found it!

The club's Boatshare and Boatshare+ boats selection is always evolving as people donate boats or boats are temporarily unavailable for maintenance.

For Boatshare members, log in to view and reserve available boats.
