This is the first sailing event of our season. It is designed to prepare both racers and race committee for the season ahead. This event is not scored.

There will be at least 5 starts; participants will round a windward mark and finish downwind to reset for the next start.

The ‘Round the Lake Parade is a group sail in a distance race format to encourage all sailors to come out and kick off the season. This event is also not scored.

The parade is open to all sailors and boats, regardless of current club membership status. There will be a skipper's meeting in the rigging lot at 12:00 PM to go over the planned course. This will also be illustrated at the stern of the Signal Boat.

This is the first of 2 series for the year. 10 races are planned over 5 Sundays. Each fleet will be scored individually, and each skipper will earn points towards the Wyant Cup via D-PN handicapping.

“The BPK” is the mid-season spectacular held in honor of longtime Principal Race Officer Bernie Kuse. All competitors are scored on D-PN handicap and each skipper will earn points towards the Wyant Cup. 

The 3 race regatta is only open to JSC Racing and Boatshare members, and awards will be presented at the end of season banquet.

This is the second of 2 series for the year. 20 races are planned over 10 Sundays. Each fleet will be scored individually, and each skipper will earn points towards the Wyant Cup via D-PN handicapping.

This is the capstone event for students in sailing classes and other novice skippers. Formats vary year to year, but this is always a regatta for beginners to compete against other beginners.

The TransJac is held as the last event of the club's sailing season. This is a distance race format where all competitors are scored on D-PN handicap for the TransJac and Don McClymont trophies awarded at the end of season banquet. Each skipper will also earn points towards the Wyant Cup.

There will be a skipper's meeting in the rigging lot at 12:00 PM to go over the planned course. This will also be illustrated at the stern of the Signal Boat.
