About this event
Commonly referred to as “The BPK”, this regatta is held in honor of longtime club member and principal race officer (PRO) Bernie Kuse. Come see how you stack up against skippers in all the other fleets at this mid-season special.
This regatta is for club members only and will determine the winner of the Bernard P. Kuse Portsmouth HC trophy. The trophy will be awarded at the JSC banquet at the end of the season.
All yachts will start the same start and sail the same course, and will be scored on a Portsmouth handicap basis. It will be at the PRO’s discretion to set the courses for the day. Three races are planned, one race constitutes a regatta.
There will be a casual no-cost social event in the rigging lot after the event. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
Times:
First Race is at 12:00 PM (Noon)
Second Race and Third Race shall immediately follow the previous race
All yachts have the same start (J Flag).
