Come see why Jacomo Sailing Club is the region‘s premier venue for dinghy racing. We host racing almost every Sunday all summer long.
Are you a skipper looking for crew? Are you a sailor looking for a skipper to sail with? We strive to make sure every boat gets in the water and every sailor gets a ride. Link up with each other on our crew forum.
You need to be a club Racing member or higher to be scored. If you‘d like to join or upgrade your membership, you can do that on our membership page.

Portsmouth Handicap
The Race Committee will conduct two multiple day club race series, the Spring and Summer Series, designated dates and race number are listed in the NOR. The race committee will record all participants’ scores throughout each Series and a Champion for each fleet will be named for each Series. Trophies and/or certificates will be awarded to each fleet according to the club bylaws. The race committee will have discretion to set course length and type with the goal of concluding racing by 4:00 pm each day. All races in the Spring and Summer Series will be started back to back.

Our 2024 Rotary Youth Camp Benefit Regatta is a fundraiser for Kansas City Rotary Club 13’s youth camp on Lake Jacomo, and a celebration of 100 years of service.
This regatta is open to all sailboats that meet Jackson County Parks + Rec requirements. All yachts will sail the same course and are scored using the Portsmouth Handicap (D-PN) system.
