Wednesday nights are more casual, socially oriented sailing events. Typically we do short-course "rabbit start" racing or long "around the lake" sails. Short-course racing will begin as soon as that week's "rabbit" boat sets the course and begins starts, generally no later than 6:00pm, but often earlier. Races are short, usually no longer than 30 minutes, so if you miss a start, just hang out for a bit and make the next start. Of course, if you're not interested in racing, then just come out and sail with us. We'll finish up before dark and then maybe hang out at the rigging lot afterward. No JSC support vessels will be on-hand so sailors, please take care of each other and don't sail in conditions you don't feel safe in.
